Andreas Frangos was born in Limassol, Cyprus on July 16, 1975. Following his military service in the Special Forces of the Cyprus Army, Green Berets, he studied Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he obtained his Law degree (LLB). During his university years was elected as President of the National Cypriot Students’ Union of Athens (ΕΦΕΚ).
He later pursued his postgraduate degree, Master of Laws (LLM), from Kingston University of London, in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Andreas Frangos holds the title of Barrister at Law, a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn of London, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is also a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and the Bar of England and Wales. He is one of the first, Licenced Insolvency Practitioners in Cyprus.
Andreas founded in 2010 his own law firm A. G. Frangos & Co LLC in Limassol. He is also a founding member of the Cyprus Arbitration Forum.
He was appointed in 2016, by the President of the Republic of Cyprus as Chairman of the Board of the Cyprus Land Development Corporation. In January 2019 the President of the Republic, appointed Mr. Frangos as Chairman of the Board of the National, public TV and Radio, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CYBC). In 2020 Andreas was unanimously elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB).
Is married to Polina Neophytou and blessed with three sons and one daughter, George, Christophoros, Alexios – Vasileios and Veronica.
